About The Temple

Introduction & Sanctity

Somnath is the first among the twelve holy Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva, located at the confluence of the mythical Saraswati, Kapila, and Hiran rivers by the Arabian Sea.

Temple Story

📜 Sthala Purana & Sacred Lore

Moon god Chandra was afflicted with waning curse by Daksha Prajapati. Lord Shiva granted him redemption here, waxing and waning periodically.
